Integrity’s Learning Disabilities Program

Our learning disabilities program is a unique program that incorporates a multi-disciplinary approach to the assessment and treatment of various developmental, behavioral and learning disabilities. We utilize the latest information available in current brain research when designing each individualized treatment program.

The federal government designated the 1990s the decade of the brain. Because of the immense amount of research done since 1990, we have gained more knowledge of the human nervous system in the last  twenty-five years than we have in all of recorded history. This knowledge is allowing us to bring about changes in brain function that were not thought possible in the past.

It has been our observation, along with other researchers, that many learning disabilities and behavioral disorders such as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Learning Disabilities (LD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), Dyslexia, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Bipolar Disorder, Autistic Tendencies, Autism, Aspergers and Tourettes Syndromes, are usually associated with various physical findings such as clumsiness, coordination deficits, balance problems, etc. Using this information, we have devised various cognitive and physical exercises and procedures that help to increase and balance brain function. Our approach assesses the child with nationally accepted standardized cognitive and neurological testing. Our treatments utilize the most effective modalities in the industry with our own unique approach of guiding treatment so as to affect the specific areas of dysfunction. We have also combined the methods of many separate systems into a single program that helps to greatly reduce the costs of having to go to multiple health care providers.

It is very important to us that parents understand what the goals of our program are, what is understood about the causes of ADD / ADHD and related problems and the non-drug treatment options available so they can play an active role in their child’s care and development.
